The time has come to buy your new car, but where do you even begin to start looking? In short - Car Buyer Help is here to, well, help! Why? For most people a car is the second most expensive thing you'll buy after a house, and you'll likely keep it for at least three years, so making the right choice is rather important.

There are over 50 manufacturers selling cars in the UK, and each manufacturer will usually offer between 5 and 15 models to choose from. On top of that there are multiple specification levels.

During my time as motoring writer and reviewer, I was asked many times (and still am) which car I would recommend to buy. That's not a straightforward question to answer as there are many factors involved in what suits someone personally.

But I understand why they'd ask; because choosing a new car is massively time-consuming, stressful, and confusing.

Driving from dealership to dealership, sitting in cars, getting bombarded with questions from sales people (or not being able to get the answers you need from them), trying to remember prices and specification levels, then organising a test drive - it's wearing and takes all the fun out of choosing one!

Then there are those that don't have access to dealerships within any type of vicinity. It's a daunting prospect trying to decide when you can't even sit in the car you're thinking of.
